David and Stephanie Booth, our owners, live locally and enjoy their hobby of running a sanctuary for over 300 animals brought by the RSPSA, Wild Fowl Trust etc when they cannot be released back in to the wild because of illness, being orphaned, age or injury. One-legged ducks, orphaned swans, former beach donkeys mingle with sheep, pigs, llamas, doves, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks etc all assured that can live out their remaining days in comfort and safety. Whenever they visit the hotel, they make a point of talking to all of the diners in the bar and restaurant and you will often see Stephanie "waiting-on" in the restaurant so that she can see for herself from meal preparation through to the reaction of the recipient. David & Stephanies 6 hotels are all very local, and although very different in both location and size, all display the common stamp of their ownership, friendly helpful staff, freshly prepared food by talented chefs, a warm welcoming environment and excellent value for money. Should you wish to dine at one of our other hotels during your stay, please ask the reception staff who will be pleased to make all of the arrangements for you. |
