Lloyd's Hotels Group consists of just 5 family-owned hotels all within a small area of natural beauty in Denbighshire, North Wales.
David and Stephanie Booth, our owners, (Stephanie's maiden name was Lloyd) live locally and enjoy their hobby of running a sanctuary for over 300 animals. These are brought to them by the RSPCA, Wild Fowl Trust etc., when they cannot be released back in to the wild because of illness, age or injury.
One-legged ducks, orphaned swans, former beach donkeys mingle with sheep, pigs, llamas, doves, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks etc., all assured that can live out their remaining days in comfort and safety.
Although past retirement age, David & Stephanie are very involved with the business and when visiting the hotels, they both make a point of talking to guests and diners in the bar and restaurant.
After a life-time spent running a chain of supermarkets they are both passionate about the quality and freshness of food, hence our policy of using only fresh ingredients delivered in daily and using a team of talented chefs of cooking all meals fresh to order.
As you would expect from our animal-loving owners, there are very stringent rules on our sourcing of meat, all of which has to be local with full trace ability back to a approved farm where animal husbandry is of the highest standards.
You will also often see Stephanie "waiting-on" in the restaurant so that she can see for herself from meal preparation in the kitchen through to the reaction of the recipient.
David & Stephanie's 5 hotels are all very local, and although very different in both location and size, all display the common stamp of their ownership, friendly helpful staff, freshly prepared food by talented chefs, a warm welcoming environment and excellent value for money. Should you wish to dine at one of our other hotels during your stay, please ask the reception staff who will be pleased to make all of the arrangements for you.
David and Stephanie's mantra is a "determination to always exceed our customers expectations" Staff training seeks to instil this in every member of staff. We truly hope that we will succeed in your case, but if we ever fail, please let us know either by speaking to the general manager, writing to our owners or using our internet "feedback" facility. It is only by listening carefully to our guests comments that allows us to constantly strive to improve our facilities.
